Check out this behemoth. Look’s scary, doesn’t it? This is a wind tunnel used for testing super and hypersonic aircrafts, located on Tennessee’s Arnold Air Force Base.
To echo our pals at Jalopnik: I definitely wouldn’t want to stand in that man’s shoes when someone flips the “on” switch. It is used to test “advanced hypersonic technologies such as wave-rider-type vehicles, scramjets and transatmospheric space planes.”
