If Ridley Scott is looking for a bizarre yacht to feature in his Prometheus follow-up or anticipated Blade Runner sequel, I think I've found it…or them, rather. "Unique Circle Yachts" is conceived by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA), and is a family of five 90m vessels designed to mimic the fluidity of water. With coral-like cut-outs creating a smooth exoskeleton, the yachts have the perfect look for any science fiction film or trendy billionaire.

21 Logo Evolutions of the World’s Well Known Logo Designs
Source
The evolution of logo designing could be traced back to the Ancient Greece, when the rulers and their dynasties used to use cipher as a monogram in their coins. However, the modern logo designing dates back to the early days of the Renaissance, around the 13th Century. Goldsmiths, masons, paper makers, and potters, were among the first trades people to use marks-pressings into gold, chiseled symbols, watermarks on paper, and simple thumb-prints on pottery.

Today there are many corporations, products, brands, services, agencies and other entities using an ideogram (sign, icon) or an emblem (symbol) or a combination of sign and emblem as a logo. However, only a few of the thousands of ideograms people see are recognized without a name.
Let’s look at the history and evolution of the well known logo designs. If you are a logo designer, I bet you will learn a lot from their mistakes, and a long path of improvements until they’ve reached the final design. If you are just an ordinary mortal – don’t worry, this will be at least very entertaining for you.
P.S.: I’ll try to keep this logo evolution post up-to-date as much as possible. So, if you see anything missing here on Bored Panda’s logo evolutions list, please let me know!

Top 15 Worst Logo FAILS Ever
Source
Marketers say that one of the most important marketing tools is a good logodesign. It not only provides an easy to recognize identity for your business but also communicates who you are. That’s why every company considering creating or buying a logo design should know the criteria that make for an effective logo.
The first feature of a good and effectivelogo is that it can immediately “grab” viewer’s attention. Your logo should have an immediate impact and hold the viewer’s attention.
However, if you did manage to catch the viewer’s eye – that doesn’t necessary mean you are doing good. There might always be a hidden penis you cannot see at first sight.
Here’s a list of Top 15 Worst Logo Fails of all time which probably didn’t look so bad at first glance.
Honest Logos By Viktor Hertz (Part II)

For those who haven’t seen the Part I of Honest logos by Viktor Hertz, first take a look: here. Now that you’ve done that, we’d like to show you some more new logos from Viktor’s ongoing series titled “Honest logos”.
As we’ve talked before, Viktor Hertz is a freelance Graphic Designer from Sweden who turns well known logos into “Honest Logos”. He does that by cleverly changing the name of the company while still preserving the original style of the logo.
“An idea for a series with honest logos, revealing the actual content of the company, what they really should be called. Some are cheap, some might be a bit funny, some will maybe be brilliant. I don’t know.” says the artist.

As we wrote earlier, the first feature of a good and effective logo is that it can immediately “grab” viewer’s attention. A good way to do so is by giving viewers a little puzzle to solve. Everyone likes puzzles, right? When viewers get the hidden message behind the logo, there’s this instant little satisfaction feeling, and something fun likes this gets people talking and sharing.
Even if the viewer cannot see anything hidden at first sight, the second somebody explains it to him will make the logo stick into his head for a long time.
Now let’s jump to the list of the most creative and clever Logos With Hidden Symbolism, and learn from the best!

6 Amazing Future City Concepts
The future is going to be an amazing place, if science fiction is to be believed; we will have space mining, super soldiers and TVs the size of buildings, and if some architects have their way, we will be watching all of this progress from the ocean or skyscrapers shaped like buckyballs covered in ferns.
1. Green Towers in the Park
Designed to go up in Seoul South Korea, these things are being developed as a communal park/living space/commercial space. It is being referred to as “sustainable” implying that the people who live here will have little need for the outside world and will only have to come out if they want to. Given the fact that South Korea is about the most video-game crazy nation on earth, it stands to reason that if the community here has an internet connection, they may begin to evolve into a separate species. The project is also being called “Seoul Commune 2006″, implying that they have 16 years to get it put together.

There is nothing like a long, hot shower to clear the mind and clean the body or a brisk, cold shower to cool one’s ardor or wash away the lazy, sweaty sheen of a summer’s day. Showers conjure all sorts of images from towel swatting in sports change rooms, to prison jokes, to sexy naked bodies to the famous Psycho scene.

The Worlds Most Expensive Car - Maybach Exelero
SOURCE
The Maybach Exelero was first introduced by German car manufacturer Maybach in 2005. This two-seater vehicle is said to be the fastest car in the world with a top speed of 351 km/hr. This luxury car is priced at a whopping $8,000,000 USD. At that price it can be safely assumed that you have to be unbelievably wealthy to even fathom buying this baby. If you just happen to win the lottery over and over and think that you can finally lay your hands on a Maybach, I’d suggest you spend that money in acquiring a vacation home in at least three continents along with a Mercedes S-class sedan to accessorize each home. But, if you happen to be P. Diddy, then nothing should stop you from buying this insanely expensive beauty for your 16 year old son’s birthday! However, you do not need to have any money to enjoy these beautiful photos of the Maybach Exelero and I’d suggest a good nap after to drive this dream car.

Futurama 2 - twenty years later...
published in technology by seven

In 1964, the World Fair returned to New York, about twenty years after the first event. Taking the opportunity, GM once again marked its presence with its pavilion where it revisited the future with the Futurama II exhibit, in an up-to-date and improved version. This time, though, its forecast didn't have the same twenty-year reach, nor did it limit itself to cities and roads: the future that was idealized was located at a sixty-year distance, in 2024, and the imagined world also included space conquest, in which the Americans deposited all their strength and enthusiasm.
Just like in the first edition, the exhibit was located in a building whose futuristic and aerodynamic lines resembled the Enterprise spaceship, from the StarTrek series. The visiting ritual remained the same, with the public touring the space sitting in chairs that moved over a railway line, from which the model cities and the diaporamas could be seen. There were simulations of underwater cities, cities in Antarctica and on the Moon, even. Even though it was devoid of any kind of ecological conscience, they proudly showed vast areas of deforestation in the Amazon jungle to build roads and cities, as well as crops in the desert.
Over 26 million people visited this unique exposition and, like in the first edition, they went home with a I saw the future badge. And, most likely, those who saw the future in 1964 won't survive to see the future in 2024; those who get there, though, will no longer expect a wonderful and perfect world, promised by the optimistic view of Futurama.
